Window cleaning services using pure water
Contents |
[edit] Introduction
Using reverse osmosis and deionisation technology, tap water is purified removing all traces of dissolved minerals and impurities. This water is transported in large vehicle mounted tanks and then pumped up telescopic poles with brush heads at the end. Dirt is scrubbed from frames, glass and sills, then the window is rinsed and left to dry naturally.
As the water is pure it dries without leaving any marks. No more dirty water or cloths that have been used on other houses, which also gives the customer and clients more privacy and less disturbance while at home or work. There are many benefits to using this system for having windows cleaned:
- Cleans frames and sills at the same time every time - why pay for just the glass to be cleaned?
- Reaches heights and angles that a ladder can't. All windows get cleaned even above a conservatory or extension.
- No more missing windows or walking on low level roof tiles.
- Cleans leaded and Georgian style windows with ease (people with these styles of window often find it hard to get a window cleaner).
- No more walking on flower beds to access ground floor windows.
- No damage to window ledges or the lawn from ladder use.
- There are no chemicals, just pure water making it environmentally friendly and safe.
- Windows stay cleaner longer as there is no soapy residue left on the glass.
[edit] Health and safety
The Working at Height Regulations 2005 (S.I.2005 No 735) became law on April 6th 2005, limiting the use of ladders as temporary workstations. The law states that ladders can only be used when all viable alternatives have been considered. Water-fed pole systems are seen as a safer viable alternative.
[edit] Better cleaning results
The major advantage of pure water is its desire to return to its impure state; hence its capacity to absorb large amounts of dirt from windows. Pure water is more aggressive than tap water, therefore it is more effective against dirt on glass. However, they will be left wet and will need time to dry naturally.
Typically, depending on the condition of glass and frames, a window may take 2-3 cleans for the process to 'leach' all deposits from around the frame, resulting in an improved finish each time, until ultimately the finish will effectively be 100% spotless and sterile.
[edit] Environmentally friendly
Only pure water is used, eliminating the need for detergents and chemicals that rot window seals, reducing the lifetime of windows, as well as potentially causing damage to the environment.
[edit] Both glass and frames are cleaned
Keeping PVC and wooden frames clean reduces the need for regular painting or replacement due to permanent staining.
It is possible now to reach with ease previously inaccessible parts of a property. High windows, windows above conservatories, velux sky lights, etc. can all be reached with the new system.
